Press Release:

The Presidential Coalition Supports Conservative Tito Muñoz In Virginia’s 36th District Primary For State Senate

The Presidential Coalition, an affiliate of Citizens United, is contributing $2,500 to Republican Tito Muñoz’s campaign for State Senate in Virginia’s 36th District. The primary election will be held August 23rd.

“Tito Muñoz’s conservative stances advocating low taxes and pro-small business policies will help get Virginians back to work,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “Tito has a great story that represents the American dream. Tito is a leader amongst conservatives in Northern Virginia, and he will be a great asset in the State Senate. The Presidential Coalition has supported Muñoz’s primary opponent in the past, but in these consequential times Virginia needs new leaders in Richmond.”

To date, the group — an affiliate of Citizens United — has donated $62,250 in Virginia this election cycle. It expects to make further contributions.

“If Virginia continues to trend red, President Obama’s reelection campaign will have a tough road to climb on election night,” said David N. Bossie, president of Citizens United. “By focusing on Virginia, the Presidential Coalition will help shape the battlefield for 2012.”
